Dot IT Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 1987, Italy’s dot IT country-specific domain extension is really popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building imaginative and interesting domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-memorize domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to go back to your website or to share it with coworkers and pals. The TLD can also be used for a website, which is connected to the information sector since IT is an abbreviation, which is well-known all over the globe.

Given that dot IT domains are not sold directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administers this extension, such a domain can be obtained through a third-party domain service provider, such as ours. We will handle the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry. You can order a .IT domain for a year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it the moment the transfer has been finalized. The only condition is that the person reserving such a domain needs to be located in a country from the EU.

Because there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of different territories and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any kind are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such 3rd-level domains, though, considering that they can be registered only by locals.
