Do you need to make a catch-all email account? What exactly is a catch-all mailbox?
A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting
If you’ve got a
Linux shared web hosting with us and you would like to activate the catch-all option for a certain mailbox that you have in your hosting account, it will take literally just one single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in your account. You can pick one single email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button once more will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary message and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all feature can be enabled effortlessly in case you’ve got a
semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a mini symbol handily located right next to each of them. With just a single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature through the context menu that will come into sight. In case any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
